The Stamp Bug's Workshops


Ladies having just finished a workshop!

We have a wonderful range of workshops available, catering for beginners and those stampers who wish for some more inspiration or want to try some of the new products that are available. This list will give you an idea of what each workshop covers.



Mid-week Workshops


Wednesdays 10am - 12pm (2 hours) £12 per person.

New Weekend Workshops

Saturday 10am - 1pm (3 hours) £17 per person.




Mid-week Workshops


Beginners Stamping Workshop (WBG)

Don't know one end of your heat gun from the other? Don't worry - come along to our Beginners Workshop and learn some basic stamping techniques using various types of ink pads and pens. Sponging and masking techniques are also covered. We then move on to embossing using both clear and metallic embossing powders. We will also take a look at Shadow Stamping and watercolour techniques.






Fun With Friendly Plastic Workshop (WFP)

You can do amazing things with this exciting material!

Fuse different colours together, stamp into it, mould it, and add beads and wire. Using Shape Cutters you can cut decorative shapes to decorate your cards. Make abstract shapes with a needle tool, or a comb. With over 70 colours to choose from, you’ll never run out of ideas!






Punches and Die Cuts Workshop (WPP)

Use a variety of paper punches and Die Cutting systems such as Accucut, Sizzix and QuicKutz to create aperture cards, embellishments and tags. Use them for stamping, sponging and stencilling to make some very pretty additions to your work.

See Through Stamping Workshop (WSS)

Come along and learn how to colour and stamp onto some more challenging surfaces. We will be using a variety of materials including Acetate, Memory Glass, Mica and Vellum. You will learn how to use Alcohol Inks to apply vibrant transparent colour to surfaces prior to stamping. See special techniques for stamping and embossing on shiny, non-porous surfaces. Learn to layer with background papers to create some lovely cards.







Direct to Paper Workshop (WDP)

Learn how to Brayer, Sponge and Chalk to create beautiful backgrounds on your cards. We will use Krafty Lady Frames, peel-offs and other stencils create to window effects with your stamping as well as with the Direct-to-Paper technique. We show you how use Magenta Mosaics self-adhesive paper squares. We’ll be decorating them with the Direct-to-Paper technique and then learning how to apply them to cards to make something truly magnificent!

Shrink Plastic Workshop (WSP)

If you have never tried using shrink plastic before you’ll find out how simple and versatile it really is.

Add colour using Fluid Chalks, Pearl-ex and Mica Magic ink pads. Stamp on to it and into it, and punch it out to make tiny labels for your cards. We will use our own Artifacts Funky range of stamps to create tiny stone washed Funky Flares, handbags, flipflops, shoes or flowers with which to embellish your cards. Add wire, glitter, beads or layers of clear embossing to create something really special!






Art Moulds Workshop (WAM)

We have a fabulous range of Krafty Lady Art Moulds that can be used with anything mouldable, pourable or kneadable – from clays and Perfect Plaster, to embossing powder, hot glue and soap, and most things in-between. After you have made some moulds for yourself, we will show you how to apply Rub Ons, Pearl Ex powders and Lumiére paints to the moulded pieces.

You will then apply the finished pieces to cards that you will make using background papers and collaging.







New Weekend Workshops

Saturday 10 - 1 (3 hours) £17 per person


All Things Collage (WCG)

Using stamps, background papers, and embellishments, make some amazing collage cards and a stunning piece of wall art. We will also use stickers, cork, mulberry paper, vellum, slide mounts, and a variety of different techniques to turn a few scraps into a work of art! We will show you how to use some of the brilliant products from USArtQuest – rustic metal shapes, Perfect Fx, Ultra Effects, leafing flakes and mica embossing tiles to name but a few!

One Page Book (WPB)

During this workshop you will use Tim Holtz Distress Inks and Powders to age paper and photographs, and learn how to create his One Page Book, (as shown in the DVD, An Altered Journey) which we then fill with tags and embellishments. Bring your own mini photos and memorabillia along to this workshop to create a truly personal project. This workshop is for intermediate to advanced stampers and assumes a knowledge of basic stamping and embossing techniques.






Star Book Project (WSB)

Use a whole host of stamping and direct to paper techniques as you learn how to create and assemble a gorgeous Star Book. You will add photas, fibres, eyelets, brads, tags and other embellishments to complete the project. Bring your own mini photos and memorabillia along to this workshop to create a truly personal project. This workshop is for intermediate to advanced stampers and assumes a knowledge of basic stamping and embossing techniques.

Make a Start with Scrapbooking (WSC)

If you have always wanted to have a go at this popular craft this could be your opportunity to make a start.

We will look at planning a layout, photo cropping, matting and layering. You will be able to use a variety of Die Cutting Machines to create journaling letters and embellishments for your layout. Add fibres, eyelets, brads, ribbons or wire for that finishing touch. Please bring your own photos and memorabillia along to this workshop to create a truly personal project.






Stamp, Cut & Fold (WPF)

Does Teabag folding have you tearing your hair out?
Why not come along to this workshop a learn some basic and more complex folds. You will also be able to try your hand at Iris Folding and make a stunning shaped card using a Template.

Christmas Stamping (WXM)

Come along and use a variety of techniques to make Christmas cards, tags and gift boxes.
